first week of the new semester @_@. though, it's actually been relatively better than i expected, aside from being worn out by the end of it, though that's just the usual for me. thankfully today's part of a three-day weekend though!

last week ended off with the last splatfest (spicy vs sweet vs sour). since i was on team sweet, i won the splatfest but this victory felt very underwhelming considering our team had over half of the votes, and also not to mention how poorly the new tricolor battle system worked with the team imbalance. i wouldn't say the new system itself is awful though. it's been fun to play the attacking side for the first time since the demo splatfest!

this week passed by pretty normally. the only notable things happened near the end. on thursday i got 30 minutes out of class due to the weather. nothing much happened here besides rain and wind but i heard it hit pretty badly in other places.

and on friday, i did my permit test. to be honest, i meant to study over christmas break, but instead most of my studying just ended up being quickly going through practice tests beforehand. i easily passed the test and got a temporary permit until the real one comes sometime next week. though, even if i do have my permit now, it'll probably be a while until i really start learning how to drive. i still honestly fear driving and seeing the amount of rules there are on the road did not help to ease my fears one bit.

now since that's out of the way, i've also been thinking about applying for a job again too. i actually tried applying for one back before i even started the site but i didn't get the job, likely cause i was very unprepared at the time. maybe that was a good thing though, cause if that happened then this site may not have been created. and i also heard from a friend that his other friend said the management there sucked. so, it worked out in the end.

back onto the main point though. i'm thinking i'll have to apply to somewhere near my school cause whenever my mom has to go resolve some type of problem is generally unpredictable, and i really want to make sure i can still get to work regardless. even though that greatly limits my options i've already found a few good ones, so i hope one of them works out well!

so far 2023's been turning out well, and i hope that remains true as time goes on. until then, have a great weekend!

long time no see! and i hope your holidays have been well! ^^

i've been on break since the past week. haven't really gone out much besides seeing my grandparents for the holidays and getting some winter clothes but i've been doing alright! it's honestly been a bit lonely but i've still been having fun doing things on my own.

during this time i started and finished haibane renmei (if you couldn't tell by the new theme lol). to be honest, there's not a lot of media that makes me emotional, but this was one of them. not gonna take up this whole journal entry rambling about how good it was but i do absolutely recommend it if you're looking for a short but sentimental anime.

the rest of the things i've done recently have been relatively small. the only major thing i've really been doing is waiting for the new year.

2022 has been an interesting year to say the least. it wasn't one of my better years but it also wasn't horrible either. though, since i've had the time to reflect on things, i realized more good things happened this year than i thought. created this site, brought in a new cat and helped raise her kittens (we've given four of them away and kept the remaining one), started going back to school in-person, passed the last two semesters of high school with great grades, and more.

i have high hopes for 2023, and hopefully that will remain true once the new year comes. i hope you have a happy new year as well!
